THE executive chairman of Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State, Hon Godwin Adode has given a new Tricycle, Cargo motorcycle and Deep chest freezer to staff of National Union of Local Government Employee, NULGE in a raffle draw held at the local government secretariat.
This is just as Hon Adode rewarded another staff with a cash reward for her punctuality and dedication to service.
Speaking at the Raffle Draw, Adode said, Sometimes last year in 2023, during the electioneering campaigns of Rt Hon Elder Sheriff Oborevwori, I did promise that I will organize a raffle draw for staff of Ughelli North and this is what we are witnessing today. 
Thank God that we won the election and all litigation matters in court.
“I want to emphasize that in my two terms tenure as the executive chairman of Ughelli North local government, I have a very working relationship with staff of this council.
“The relationship manifested into the prompt payment of staff salaries, staff claims and support to those who are in financial need and I’ll.
“As my tenure as executive chairman winds up, I come to you to organize this raffle draw in other to further galvanize and advance the symbolic relationship we have had to the past six (6) years.
“There are other consolation prizes which cut across all the departments and I am very grateful to the workers union for all your support that created a cordial relationship between management and the union”
On the cash reward to Lady Glory Onirueh, Hon Adode said I have to reward council staff with cash for her punctuality and dedication to service and duties.
“She is one of the staff that is dedicated to her work, she resume her office as early as 7:30.am if not earlier than that and I am impressed with her dedication hence, the cash reward.”
On his part, chairman of NULGE Ughelli North, Comrade Igho Emuophedaro commended Adode for his contributions towards improving staff welfare. He has written his name in gold as Ughelli north is concerned.
Applauding the gesture of Hon. Adode, Ughelli North PDP chairman, Pastor Kessena Nomuoja said, “Despite the economic situation, people that won are happy and it shows that Adode administration is a success.
